Love is many things to many people this days. Its either a box of chocolate or a marry me proposal but whatever the case, all na love. The case for the value of all the expressions of love we profess nowadays and the damaging consequences of how we feel when seemingly left out in the seasonal love craze of February is another topic for another day.
However I would like to focus on the virtue tied up and hidden at the back office of our generation. Its called tough love. I guess all of a sudden, the imagination of red roses just faded from your mind. Hahahaha.
Tough love is not harsh love, its just a lovely disposition towards choosing to invest in and celebrate the strength of a person while diligently helping them overcome weaknesses.
Tough love is often misinterpreted as a call to be hard on the other person and this bias has led to the justification of oppression, all in the name of love. However I would redefine the concept of tough love to mean the ability to bear, share and care regardless of the weaknesses of the other party.
Tough love here is what transpires between God and man in that; regardless of all God has done by giving his son Jesus to die to save mankind,he still allows his mercy to operate when we knowingly or unknowingly mess up. Tough love is a practice of patience and mercy. Its the ability to look upon that lady whom you love so much;yet she won't live up to certain expectations but you look her in the eye and say honey I still love you. With all her imperfections and seeming ungrateful conduct you decide to stand with her and love her. That's tough love.
For the man that don't seem to get how to love you (the lady) as best as you feel you deserve, holding him tight and whispering those words "honey I still love you" even when it don't make sense, that's tough love.
Understanding the notion of loving tough is a guarantee for relationships, its the needed source of commitment and perseverance we need to stay in love at a time when the goodbye phrase seem to become a common phenomenon in most relationships.
The responsibility of making relationships work falls on both parties. Embracing tough love and loving tough would save you the embarrassment of discovering that the same reason you quit your first relationship is inherent in the second and the third.
There are no hard and fast rules but one underlining truth remains that loving is tough and sacrifices must me made continuously if relationship between man and the lady is to be sustain.
In the spirit of the season, let's love again, not with the definitions that lack substance but with an uncommon dedication towards giving our time, resources and ourselves to the ones we love;even when we don't get as much as we feel we deserve. Now that's tough love.
Happy Valentine Season.
God bless you.

Pastor Udy (The Mean Man of God)
Hello peeps, how's life with all? Briefly I'll like to share in the spirit of the season.
Quickly let me introduce to you Pastor Udy and his Un Dying-commitment to Young-people.
Tall, fair skin, clean shaven 6ft plus, fine boy Pastor... Of course Married. Udy is one of the pastors at the Water Brook Church Lagos Nigeria. A career professional and probably a unilag x-bad boy turned born again.
Anyway enough of the introduction, working with young people requires grace but more than that requires boldness to deliver the right word.
At the water brook church, we have a unique blend of leaders, from the "been there done that" looks of Pastor Del Balogun to his fine girl no pimples wife called Amanda; to the fashionable Mrs P and the always dressed in white businessman Pastor tolu to the always calm and confident pastor seyi and a host of other hands that God uses to nourish the young ladies and men at the water brook.
I decided to single out Pastor Udy to exemplify the quality of leadership we have in-house.
From my initial introduction of Pastor Udy, he looks cool and probably romantic but the truth is he is mean. Udy's love and care is true and mean;uncoated and blunt as it concerns telling you the truth of Gods word concerning any situation. Pastor Udy is to twb what Prophet Nathan was to King David.
There are times in life you'll need to be told the truth, as a generation, we are at that time. We are at that time when somebody needs to tell us the impact of sin on the overall wellbeing of the believer, we need to be told that no amount of prayer can solve our relationship issues when we constantly put up the wrong attitude. We need those words and the like of Pastor Udy and all other Pastors at the water brook seem to have a hold on that.
Its become a common norm for leadership of youth groups to tilt the message to please the youth, what's more annoying is when the church buys into the "please me now" type of messaging. We forget too soon who's the boss. God is not democratic, He is God and servants of God have a responsibility to deliver the message as nice as possible without loosing the weight of the message. In clear terms, if being mean does it, please pastor, be mean.
There's something in us that hates correction, we want to have our way, infact the bible says there is a way that seem right unto men but the end thereof is destruction. The leadership of the water brook church is a pool of resources and experience that every young lady and man can draw from. You need to speak up, discuss your issues/frustrations with them, talk to either the mean men of God or talk to the gentle Amanda or Mrs P. Its said that problem shared is problem half solved.
At the water brook mid week service in 2011, we heard the need to put away your past and don't let it hinder your future. We heard a message about giving. We hear so much about tactical decision making. This are uncommon words spoken to us at a time when so much emphasis are place on "Lord Bless Me" kind of message around us. The water brook is forging character in young people. The intricacies of sucess as exemplified in the bible is such that character of God is a key factor to fulfilling destiny. From the concept of the new birth to the constant working out of our salvation with fear and trembling. All these are essential for the maturity of a believer. What we have at the water brook is an investment aimed at securing not just you as you know it but an investment that secures your relationships and the ability to choose one, the security of marriage, business, family and the nation in general. The water brook is purging the Generation Next; with fine, yet mean words. This words are scripture based analysis and the benefit of what we share at the water brook is indicative in the little changes that sprout forth in our lives.
The best way to fully articulate what you hear at the water brook is to practice daily. The bible places emphasis not on the hearer but the doer of the word.
So from the likes of Pastor Amanda and Del Balogun to the likes to Pastor Udy and Tolu and all the leaders at the water brook church; we say keep it mean and keep it coming. We need those words even when we don't feel good about it.
For you my friend, get involved, either at the water brook church or in your own local assembly, love rebuke, love correction. Give God a chance to do what you have failed trying to achieve by your own power.
God bless you.

Love,Life&Loving
Its just life! When we seek to understand the content of the shadowy waters of relationships, we end up hurting ourselves.
Love is love cos its not explainable. If you can explain it then it just business. Its a contrast of contract. That's why we can't understand why certain people we don't like follow us while we tirelessly follow others.
It becomes insanity when we never stand up or wake up to the facts, that what we want is completely different from what we should want.
As complex as this maize might seem, we all find solace in the hope that someday, somewhere, someone would give closure to all our confusion. Love is a choice, not a feeling, not business and never a prayer point cos the will of individuals are involved.
God is handicap in matters of love and who we love. He can only create opportunities for us to make the right decision but that said. If we choose to make poor decisions , there's nothing God can do. That's because he made man a free moral agent. Man can choose evil over good or good over evil. God only advice we choose good. In matters of choice, there's almost nothing God can do when we decide not to decide.
Its a wonderful world. As we inch closer to achieving personal and collective objectives, its good to know that where we are and where we want to be is grossly influenced by our choices.
I hope the above gets you thinking my friend. Do whatever you decide but make sure you own it. After all, it your life. Choose to love it even if its done alone.
God bless.

Looking for a job? Read this.
Asides your academic qualifications, there is more an employer/interviewer seek.
Intangible assets are character or content based assets that support academic credentials of a candidate.
When we see a certificate, its only wise to expect a proof from the candidate that he or she is worth the certificate. No matter the content, once delivery is bad,you lost the job already.
The antidote for ignorance is knowledge not prayer.
There's roolm for prayer in that you can pray for wisdom and grace to do the needful wich is reading up more about the job you seek to interview for, dressing well and probably getting close friends to host a mock interview for you before you step out.

Re: Dear Sin.
Dear Newman,
Compliment of the season. How's life with you. Its been a while since we spoke even though a lot seem to be happening in our lives apart from each other.
I got your mail the other day. I was a bit surprised at the tone of your mail suggesting we parted ways. I need to quickly remind you that true friends steak together #nomatterwhat. (Those are your words) Moreso it is written,I'll never leave you nor forsake you. You see,my dear Newman;what we share is more than an event, its a bond. We are branded in same nature.
Come to think of it,don't you think its abit foolish to think we are sperate-able? When you said you saw me at the junction few weeks back, are you saying you did not feel anything within? Look Newman, it hurts when you ignore me.
Remember the times we spent together,we stayed out all night,we threw caution to the wind and we fly like birds. I remember the last time I was on the island, when we had the awards and you got award for "most well built man of the year" and every one wanted you. I remember all this and it makes me feel we have history.
Newman, what is life that you are so mindful of. It is written that the earth is ours and the fullness there of. I hope you can make sense of all am saying.
I care a lot about you. I know there are rough times but that's not good enough to walk away from a soul mate.
I miss you so much. It feels like am incomplete without you. Oh how I long for us to unwind with wine in the arms of each other for its written, a little wine for the belly. Its also written that we are overcomers through faith. Look Newman; we can over come this rough patch in our relationship.
Meanwhile I just got transferred to a new office;its off your street. I heard we might stay in a hotel for 3months pending when accomodation is ready. You;re welcome to visit and stay. It would be nice to have you over. You know home is where we have each other.
Newman;I would never shut my door against you. You remember the vine and the branches, that's you and I. Feel free to call me anytime. Its good to be yourself, loosen up my friend and remember all we have is now.
Takecare and my love to your family.
Yours always.

Love,Business and Stupidity.
Is love a feeling sustained by a decision or a decision sustained by a feeling? What makes us decide to love and keep loving. Is love expected to be logical? I thought that's business. Where is the place of personal fantasy in the sacrificial foundation of love and loving. Can there be a self in a love relationship. What do men/women WANT and what do the NEED are 2 questions that clash in the analysis of loving right.
Is there a blue print to loving? Don't you think love as we know it lately is self enveloped in the notion called love? Can you really love what's within a person without giving consideration to what's without? What is the standard? If Love conquers all then should LOVE take everything you,ve got? Is it worth bn a fool for Love? Is getting burnt part of love or should logic be introduced to the analysis of love. What really is love? Business is a transaction between different interest with defined terms and condition. How is love different from business when logic is introduced. Finally; what is stupidity? Just thinking out loud? What do you think?

The GAY Politics and Corruption
Hello, let's define few words. Terrorism is an act of terror aimed at destabilising a system for personal gain.
Gay/lesbian- A kind of sexuality/sexual expression where same sex mate for fantasy sake.
That said, sexual terrorism is a term I use to define a case where a few seek to arm twist majority to accept their new found sexuality.
Yet terrorism could be when a state using the arm making organ of govt decides to force a few to accept a way of life other than what the choose.
Terrorism could also be when one state decides to manipulate a weaker state using aid e.g America and Uk to get the state to do their bid regardless of the independence of that state(Nigeria)
Discrimination is when you deal using double standards. A case where the west would not sell gay rights to Arab countries yet insist Nigeria embrace same sex marriage is discrimination.
Discrimination can also be a case where there are pressing issues about mismanagement of funds by govt and govt agencies yet the senate of Nigeria did not legislate to fix new jail term for corrupt officials but would gladly set jail terms for same sex persons.
The question is, what really is same sex marriage? Are we saying for example Obj can marry GEJ? Or that Dame Patience can marry ita Giwa? God for bid.
Its hard to imagine. Oshimole and Basket mouth. Its shameful and unthinkable. That said, is it not shameful to steal peoples/govt funds meant for development and you arm twist the judiciary using plea bargain to do 6 months in Reddington hospital in Victoria island lagos.#Ceciliaibru or how more shameful can it get when we set up a federal high court in Asaba to acquit James Ibori who stole govt funds only to be caught and tried by a foreign country for the same crime.
Nigeria. When you place emphasis on issues only based on how it affects the positive interest of the ruling class, the world take you for a joke.
We now preach morality, where was morality when we seek to remove fuel subsidy from poor suffering masses. Why do we act like we are #IdiotsRuledByFools? The same country where logic is never considered in matters of immediate benefit to the masses,we now preach logic/morals on gay issues.
Where was logic when we voted along regional and religious lines for Goodluck Jonathan, knowing fully well that he had nothing to show that he could transform Nigeria?
The west won't take us serious till we get serious. How is the gay bill going to put jobs on the table. I wonder if 1million gay persons would not be better than the thieves we call govt officials. A case where a governor would get an injuction not to be investigated for corruption or where the supreme court decide no one should prosecute a former governor for corruption. How bad can it get?
Are we sure that gay is our problem or leadership? Who is better? A gay/lesbian or a corrupt politician?
Should we cry for power, road, refineries or should we fight same sex marriage? Which should come first?
In the final analysis, we need to major on majors and minor on minor. I disagree with the act called gay/Lesbianism just like I disagree with rape and bribery and rigging of elections. However for the Nigerian state,I feel we have more pressing needs that require attention.

A Mail to One Chioma/You
Ore good morning!I feel led to encourage you along specific lines. Most times you never get noticed for the inner beauty. That which you spend time to build never seem to get the attention rather its the surface #Shakara that men see. Well let me inform you that deep calleth upto deep. You can't see what you don't know. A mans value system is driven by the quality of character that defines him.
Prayer distinguish you. The glitz and glamour are perishable in the face of crises but the character of God forged at the alter of prayer secures the investment call you. They look but don't see, that's their business. You are an asset in Gods real estate. I celebrate a God seeking lady @ the alter of prayer/worship. You are not perfect but you would outgrow your weaknesses.
Wait on God,that which you seek would come. Good men know the difference between mud and concrete. Prayer distinguish you...As concrete. See Provbs 31v30 Godbless you and Merry Christmas.

ARE YOU MAN ENOUGH?
Happy new year guys, I am excited for 2012,its a new beginning, its a time to try again certain things that almost defy all effort in 2011.
This morning I remembered a story a friend told me few years ago, he dated a lady while in the university, it was a 2 to 3 years relationship, after school they planned to take the relationship to the next level but the lady all of a sudden felt the guy could not meet up hence the relationship ended. In order words he was not man enough to take her to the next level. She felt he had no capacity to manage the responsibilities that would confront the decision to take the relationship to the next level. Now that's the bases for my write up today.
Its a new year, most often we plan and resolve to do the unthinkable, we set new targets,I resolved a long time ago not to resolve at the beginning of the year, however I know many of us resolve and its not a bad thing. The question is, are you man enough to execute what you seek to achieve? Its a question I ask myself with the hope of helping me understand there are responsibilities I need to embrace if my goals would be met.
Being man enough simply means you have capacity to execute. Its so easy to get into the euphoria of God would bless you in 2012 and we all shout amen without really understanding the nitty-gritty of what is required to attain the desired height. God is not a magician, there are laws for achieving sucess, just like we have physical laws, we also have spiritual laws. If your would see growth in your relationship with God in 2012,you must draw near to God. If you must serve as a worker in TWB in 2012,you must attend DTI, its that simple, we cannot keep focusing on praying for divine promotion without an intelligent understanding of the requirements for promotion.
We must take responsibility in 2012 for the desired growth. For those looking for new jobs, try being more friendly;jobs are not always in the pages of newspapers but with company insiders. For many seeking relationships that can produce a life time commitment of marriage, start by having a more realistic mental image of people. See value in people beyond the surface and like we heard in TWB; do away with your past hurt that has made you sceptical of everyone you meet.
Building capacity should be our watchword. From spiritual capacity to mental and social capacity, we need to expand our base to accommodate what we seek to achieve. God is willing; the question is are we willing to do what is required to attract Gods promises?
2012 is predicted to be tough by world leaders, its good to know that there's always an exception to the rule. Like it was in Egypt in the days in Moses, God always provide for the wellbeing of his people in Goshen. Everyone that abides under the shadow of the almighty shall walk by different sets of rules so quit focusing on opinion of global leaders who lack the ability and capacity to predict and forestall an event such as the global financial meltdown. Cast your care in the Lord. The bible records; I am the Lord, have I said a thing and would not do it? The validity of God's promise is tied to his integrity.
Personally I know 2012 has risk but God has assured me that the benefits of 2012 is in the risk. I can only achieve base on my capacity. My capacity is a function of my ability to study and work to develop myself either spiritually, physically or otherwise. The same applies to you;God is ready to lead you,the world is waiting for your manifestation in 2012, the question here is: Are you man enough?
I pray that God would help our understanding in this regard. I pray that we would begin to be proactive and mix what we hear at the water brook church with faith that would propel us to action. We can all record outstanding success across board in 2012 once we take responsibility and make the right decisions on time. God is still in the business call you. God said I will do a new thing and the ears of those that hear would tingle. If God must do a new thing, then we must act a new way; different from the way we've always acted.
God bless you.

01/01/2012 Quick Tell. Wisdom Words
This year, don't waste your time with people who don't spend their time with you. Don't micro manage anybody. Go to place where you are celebrated. Value yourself. Let old failed relationships go and start new ones quickly. Value yourself and demand value for your time. Don't beg for attention that you deserve. Invest your time in more productive people. Leave your past behind. Decide Early.
THE STEW CALLED ME.
Hello guys; how's life with you? Quick one, recently I had occasion to try my hands on cooking again;its was a very interesting but confusing experience, I had to watch the stew all time,I could not watch tv and cook at the same time else it burns. The meat got burnt cos I was engrossed with Cnn's Quest means Business.
Anyway in the many events that occurred in the kitchen,I learnt a lesson and that forms the bases of this article.
While I was cooking my pot of stew,God dropped a word in my spirit. He said you are a pot of stew. Let me explain. Making stew requires attention to details. Ingredients and time.
Certain elements in the stew making process require been boiled separately e.g the meat, the tomatoes must be boiled differently too but however, the all come together at the end.
Your life is a pot of stew;there are certain events in your life that seem meaningless in the face of the overall objective of your life but given time, the all come together. Many times we are too quick to loose focus based on our inability of understand the many happenings in our lives, just like me, we get distracted by a program on the tv screen of other people's lives even when the program is not related to your prime objective.... Soon we are burnt meat.
Walking with God requires focus,it requires time. You cannot commit to Gods leadership yet be tossed back and forth by all kind of distractions. A good stew must have salt and other ingredients,it cannot be flat,it must have taste and anyone under Gods divine plan would have taste.
Secondly I learnt another lesson, a good man/lady must have taste, over the last few weeks,I have prayed like many of us seeking to settle down, we pray for relationships that would compliment us in outstanding ways. Sometimes we meet people and we need to be sure beyond the eyes that he or she is as the seem. Well for that God told me that a good man or lady is like a good stew, there must be something about him or her that reflects a conscious effort to align with the purpose of God. Character is like the ingredient called salt, without character a man or lady is just another meat ball. I had to do a quick check on my intended relationship to be sure she has taste.(Thank God does) hahahaha...so my friends; give yourself a quick check, give your relationship a quick check,is it flat tasteless or is it steaming hot with the aroma from spices? We are certainly at different level of growth hence what you encounter might differ from person to person but the underlining truth is that the life of a child of God is often dotted by integrity, character and excellence. Anything outside this is burnt mean. I pray that God would walk us through our days with the needed ingredients to fulfil his will.
God bless you.

The role of violence in the speedy resolution of conflict in a corrupt democracy/society
The objective of this article/ study is to seek to understand the critical role played by violence in th speedy resolution or readjustment of government towards equitable representation or conflict resolution in a corrupt democracy or society as the case may be.
For the purpose of this study/article, the definition of violence shall be limited to any act that is used by an oppressed to force the oppressor to do that which he/she originally refused to do. E.g Protest,Strike,Mass revolt or rebellion, etc.
Democracy is government of the people,by the people and for the people. Based on the above definition, its expected that there would be adequate representation of the interest of the people in a democracy. Its expected that there would be adequate constitutional infrastructure to address every form of grievances should the case arise in a democratic society.
However when the said society begin to loose grip of efficiency/effectiveness in the sytem, when the integrity of it system becomes compromised and the people begin to see outright injustice perpetrated by a few and nothing seem to be done to correct the situation, when crime becomes the order of the day and security of life and property becomes an imagination and no longer a fundamental right;when fundamentalism and extremism becomes a common phenomenon and the arm of the law is broken in matters of enforcement as it concerns the privileged yet strong when it concerns the weak;then we can categorically say that corruption abounds and the main moral fabric of that society, the conscience of that society has been eroded.
In such a situation, jungle justice becomes the order of the day, greedy negotiations and settlement becomes the norm; at the expense of the weak. It becomes man know man and dog eat dog. Its a kill or be killed scenario and in such a case, the common man is left to defend the gate of his hut, provide all basic amenities for him/herself. Alliances are formed to protect territories. This is the time when armies are raised while the generality of the populace live in denial that there is a similitude of a society. Anarchy blooms but few understand the rhythmic echo of boiling hearts presumed as silence; that threaten that society.
In history, we can clearly identify the above scenario as a basic format for uprising. From the racial crises of the mid 20th century in America to the Aparthide regime of South Africa, the oppressor of the people always ignored a called for change simple because the call came from the presumed weak of the society.
Recently it happened in Tunisia,Egypt,Libya and Yemen. The people cried for change but the government won't listen. The government of the above countries played hide and seek with the cry of the common man, such that even when the day was breaking on them, they were too preoccupied with their knowledge to the presumed weakness of the masses that they never read or understood the hand writing on the wall.
Corruption has a way of impressing on a person an over bloated idea of invisibility. This is true in all the cases mentioned above. A government/society deep in corruption never see its end even when its at the door. In the face of a presumed weak population,a corrupt government exhibits arrogance, they elements in such government seem to believe the are untouchables. The rule instead of leading. The barrel of the gun remains in the shadow of such administration. "The are gods and everyone else is a subject"
Unfortunately, the systemic hold of corruption on the society seem to allow the truth elude the authorities forgetting that the sustainability of their life style is only possible when there is "peace".
When a people loose faith and respect for their institutions, when a people loose the fear of death, when death is de mystified, then doom becomes almost inevitable.
Nigeria is a country of over 160 million people. We have gone through all the above mentioned points in the last 12 years.
Crime in Nigeria only gets punished when it concerns the poor and weak, negotiations are ongoing but never on matters that affect the people positively. Death grace the street of major cities. Maternal morality persist. Unemployment is beyond calculation, rape cases are casually discarded. Power supply is almost non existent, security is a reserve of the rich. Education is almost worthless, dilapidated infrastructure. Over bloated cost of governance, failed health system, etc.
Regardless of the above, there seem to be a few who live fat, very secure, children well educated, they get the best health care around the world, enjoy the best of the world in the worst of the system at the expense of the people. The unfortunate thing is that the lie to the faces of the masses;it has become a clear case of rape them and spit on their faces and nothing would happen. The government clothed in the garment of legitimacy of the ballot box yet undermine the interest of Nigerians year in year out without thought of the possible consequences or repercussion of their actions.
From the executive to the legislature down to the judiciary, there seem to be a joint effort to undermine the intelligence of the Nigeria people while they political class parade themselves as acting in the interest of the masses yet for over 12 yrs,the actions unbehalf of the masses never seem to yield any positive or meaningful results either in the power sector or in job creation programs.
With all the unproductive programs and the endless cry of the Nigeria people for change, they political class seem to ignore the call for change and dialogue for better development.
In Nigeria, there is glaring absence of trust between the government and the people. The people believe the government is incompetent, weak and unable to live up to her basic function of providing security for lives and properties.
The events of 1st- 13th Jan 2012 further reveal that silence is not weakness or stupidity and when the people get to the point where they feel there's nothing to loose, violence would erupt.
In understanding the role of violence in the speedy resolution of conflict in a corrupt democracy,we need to understand why the erstwhile reluctant government; the one that neglected hearing the cry of the people, would suddenly seek dialogue at the outbreak of violence.
For corruption to thrive, there is need for 2 things, a system and a form for calmness often mistaken as peace.
Corruption thrives on oppression, you keep a people docile and almost incapacitated then you loot and scare them so no one can speak up. This is the way it works, from Tunisia to Egypt to Libya and Yemen. The people were silenced and the system kept running.
You cannot loot when there is crises, you need a simlitude of a system to keep awarding contracts that yield no results, you need a calm system to fund a police that can't do its job. You need a calm system to feed the President for 3 million Naira daily and water his garden with 200 million Naira annually . That is why corrupt governments would do anything to keep calm without solving the problem.
Look at the case of Nigeria again, people protested the removal of fuel subsidy, the government after many days reduced the pump price and promised to make changes, one of such change was cutting basic salaries by 25 percent. This meets our earlier discussed point that corrupt governments always keep the wheel running with seemingly executing people oriented programs without really addressing the core issues. They insult the intelligence of the people and spit on our faces afterwards.
The ignore court orders but when the masses do same they cry foul as in the case of Pdp's refusal to honour court order stopping conduct of Pdp primaries in Bayelsa State while the same Pdp led government cried foul that Nigeria Labour Congress is flaunting a court order not to go on strike.
It is important to understand the role played by violence is such that it threatens the continuous existence of the system which is the bases of peddling corruption by the political class. As seen in the case of Niger delta crises, the people of Niger delta asked for resource control, the government ignored them, obviously weak and dejected they'll say. They government killed and sort to silenced their leaders till their earlier presumed weak sons took up arms since there was obviously no reason to live, they killed and destroyed oil installations, they government was threatened or should we say the loot was threatened, the government called for dialogue; the same dialogue which the people sort and you ignored them.
The same goes for many groups across the world. Corrupt governments often neglect the cry for dialogue by the people till the people take up arms. It is shameful and unthinkable that corrupt governments only listen when they bane of their wellbeing is threatened. Its a shame that Mubarak of Egypt,Moammar Gadaffi of Libya etc had room to step down peacefully but refused. Its a shame that the same scenario plays out over and over again but our leaders never see the hand writing on the wall.
Violence is fast becoming the last tool used by the common man to be heard by corrupt oppressive government. Dialogue is often termed the best way to avoid conflict but corrupt democracy and leadership are fast proving that wrong by continuously neglecting the call for change while hypocitically parading empty programs in the name of SURE/transformation agenda.
Intelligent governments heed the cry of their people by truly doing what is needful to restore trust between the people and the government. In the Nigeria case, the cry is against corruption in all arms and tiers of government, infrastructural development, reduction of cost of governance, provision of basic amenities, job creation etc.
The Nigerian state should not have to wait till violence becomes the only tool used to get government to listen. The government should be proactive and act responsible. Cut waste, its unthinkable and an act of gross irresponsibility for a president to spend almost N1billion on feeding in a year. Its shameful to imagine cost of maintaining the garden is more than the annual allocation to some fed government owned universities or academic institutions in Nigeria. We don't have to mention the cost of fuelling cars and maintaining furnitures, all these are indication of recklessness in government spending when the people are crying for basic survival programs.
The president and governors alike should listen to the people while the value of dialogue still exceeds the alphabets. Let him that has ears hear what the people of Nigeria are saying to their government.

Hello, quick one. Have faith and step out.... You need to have faith in God. Have you heard people say that when you are actually putting your faith in God already.
What do you do when you are told to do what you're already doing. Its so painful when people around us try to fix us by proffering solutions that we have mastered.
There are times in life when all you need do, is stay still. Let the if I perish I perish phrase be your slogan. There are days when all you have to do is never good enough to solve a problem. That's actually when you have to choose between going with the crowd or faithfully but somewhat foolishly trust God to show up and vindicate you.
Its possible for the best plan to fail, not because the plan was bad but because the rules in your case just changed. God rules in the affairs of men. Life is lived forward, understood backward... So when next you are under pressure to do what you are already doing. Take a deep breath and say "Lord take control, Show up on my behalf" cos he always does.
Enjoy the rest of your day. 30/01/2012
